Suddenly if your PC perform slower than normal probably there might be due to VIRUS.How to check whether your PC is affected or not?
Go to folder option
- Enable hidden folder/files to view folder mode (Tools) Go to Search option
- Enable the Search system folders, Search the Hidden files & Folders,Search Subfolders,Case Sensitivity,Search tape backup (options)
Now search for desktop.ini, folder.htt If the above files are found you must delete them all ( except C:\Windows\fonts), desktop.ini, folder.htt are system files.Virus overwrite these files and multiply to produce more such s Virus files

It may make a core 2 dual work like P2
